Smashing into 2022 with IGANZ Long Drive

IGANZ Long Drive is about to make its mark on the tee box in AU yet again, with on the ground representatives ready to clear the grid for amatuer and professional events. Plans have started and events look to take place from February 2022. IGANZ has been investing in the sport of Long Drive since 2016 with the first Australian event taking place in 2017 with the Trans Tasman Clash, where the Aussie Long Ballers took the win over the New Zealand Long Blacks for the famous Darren Wise Stingray trophy. The first IGANZ Australian Championship took place in 2018 and this again was an event that IGANZ fully invested in with sponsors being scarce due to the infancy of the sport.

The appointed representatives are independent contractors in Australia who will manage everything from sponsorships to media. The mission for IGANZ is to grow the sport and therefore champions for the biggest event for the sport the XDL Championship which is being revealed in upcoming media taking place in 2023.

IGANZ has been challenged by Australian Bushfires in 2019 then in 2020 the global pandemic hit which has lasted two years and greatly impacted the scheduled events. Ready to catch up with lost time, IGANZ representatives will be working with councils and government agencies to implement the governance around the sport. For all Australian (IGANZ) Long Drive and Professional events, go to www.iganz.co.nz from February 2022 where the schedule of events will be updated post holiday COVID updates.
